I have the beginnings of a plot outline for my next book. It will revolve around an investigator with the C.T.I. council in Geneva. Following the arrest of senior executives at Blosch-Nishikawa for violations of the international temporal treaty, the CTI council discovers one executive avoided arrest by escaping into the past. The council sends one of its investigators and a sentient SDU into the past in pursuit of the fugitive.
I am having a lot of fun with this new book. I am presently writing chapter 4 and am pleased with the character development. The sentient SDU’s name is “Elle”, derived from the last two digits of her internal AI controller’s serial number (“LE”). The CTI council’s Temporal Enforcement Officer’s name is Liam Perry. Liam is the senior officer in charge of the temporal enforcement group, and Elle is the most junior group member.
I have completed chapter 4. This book involves the pursuit of a criminal, who has escaped prosecution by time-traveling into the past. As a result, the CTI council in Geneva has decided to send back two of its enforcement officers, rather than regular temporal specialists. Since the two officers have never time traveled before, and are not trained as temporal specialists, it presents them with some serious challenges.
Book 3 was finished and released. Frankly, it is my favorite work in the series to date.
I am presently working on a 4th book, tentatively titled, “Benton Station”. I must say, it is a much “darker” work. It should be released late 2024.
