The book reveals an enormous amount of intriguing information about time travel, self-resolving temporal causality, artificial and anti-gravity, an alien civilization called the Luyteni, fusion power generation, and even detailed instructions on how to build a time machine. It also provides historical files about the American Conflict, a civil war that will devastate the United States.

Described as an interesting blend of Arthur C. Clarke and Tom Clancy, “John J. Clifton, Temporal Specialist” recounts the story of a time traveler from the year 2151 who is stranded in the past and contacts a New York news media company. Skeptical at first, the company producers are shocked to discover Clifton is what he claims to be. While preparing to announce their extraordinary visitor to the world, however, they learn Clifton has involved them in his temporal mission; a mission that must be completed here in the past in order to preserve mankind’s future.

When the council learns that a criminal has escaped justice by fleeing into the past, it commissions Perry to travel backward in time and retrieve the fugitive. Hoping for a tactical advantage, Perry asks Elle to accompany him on the mission.

The two officers find themselves embroiled in intrigue, violence, and deception surrounding the world’s first fusion reactors being constructed at Culham Center in England and at the ITER facility in France. They are also confronted by deadly operatives employed by a powerful and wealthy adversary, who has had years to prepare for their arrival.
